The Leipzig 1813 project - Part 2

Here is part two of my Leipzig 1813 project.

After studying most of the maps I've found on the internet, I had to focus on the soldiers who took part. As you may know, the almost(not literally every one) every nation on the Europian continent participated in this battle, one with a larger force than the other. Russian, Austrian, Prussian and French troops had the most numbers during this battle, so first I will focus on these nations and their military's.

Uniforms can be quite tricky if you want to paint them historically correct. Regiments appeared and disbanded, some were transformed in other kind of troops, etc. This is made harder by the fact that most regiments had their own uniforms with their own colourscheme and banner.

The Russians had (luckally) a very simple solution to all the different uniforms and the confusion this created on the battlefield. Almost every line infantry regiment wore green coats with red collars. This is very easy for me to paint the regular line infantry. I recently bought a couple of kits, I will review them soon.
