Italeri - Russian Infantry

As I said I recently bought a couple of kits. Here is the unboxing of the Italeri Russian Infantry from the Napoleonic era.

I bought two of these boxes but I'll be needing more later, because we need a lot of Russians! ;-)

I always love a good box art, this one looks very cool as well!

The figures look better than I expected! Very pleased with the detail and I think Italeri did a great job on this one.

I am a bit disappointed about the pose of some figures though, It could have done with a bit more variation in my opinion. As I said I do like the details!

Time for the basecoat.

Ouch!

This is what they look like after the primer!
I must warn everyone that I am not the best painter in the world. I'm used to paint 1/35 scale figures and seen the fact that I need to paint many many more figures, I decided to go for quantity.

I'll still do the best I can ofcourse! ;-)

The details are better than I hoped and I´m very pleased with the result. I´ve painted about 15 figures now so I still have a lot of work to do. Prussian line infantry, Prussian lancers, Polish lancers and Austrian Jägers are all the boxes I've bought.

I think this Italeri kit is a good kit if you look at price/quality. There are 50 men in this box and you can actually use all of them instead of only 3/4 like the Prussian kit, but you'll get where I'm on about when I unbox those!
